LMSC is excited to again be offering a well-needed camp that will focus on a player's technical and mechanical concepts of Shooting, Finishing and Technical Skills . This Summer we will be offering a combined explosive Shooting and Finishing Technical skills camp that will cover many areas that will help a player to be more consistent, confident and successful in front of the goal and during the run of play. Under the guidance of experienced and professional coach Daniel Clitnovici who boasts coaching time in both the MLS with the Colorado Rapids and the NWSL with the WNY Flash as well as working with some of the best male and female players in the world. Coach Clitnovici is the current Associate Head Coach of Villanova University Division 1 Soccer Team.
Coach Clitnovici has designed a curriculum that will work on the correct technique and power when shooting as well as players will develop a better feel and understanding of placement, angles, and shot selection depending on what shooting opportunity arises. Players will find themselves in front of goal to beat defenders and 1v1 with the keepers and accuracy with free kicks and penalties. This is very important fundamental of soccer and can be the difference for team's success.
We will also cover Fundamental Technical Skills development to enable players to master the ball during the game. Players will be encouraged to use both feet and will be placed in challenging yet fun environments to allow for growth under pressure. Technical Skills development is crucial for any player to have success in competitive games.
This camp is open to all Field Positions.
Players are required to bring a properly inflated ball and water bottle.
WHEN: July 20, 21, 22, 23 (rain date of July 24)
WHERE: Welsh Valley Middle School, 325 Tower Lane, Penn Valley, PA (park along the Hagy's Ford Road side of the school).
WHO: Travel Team Players only (boys and girls). Intramural players will NOT be accepted into the camp.
TIME:
- 9:00-10:15 AM for rising U-8, U-9 and U-10 travel team players
- 10:30-11:45 AM for rising U-11, U-12 and U-13 travel team players
- 12:00-1:15 PM for travel team players who will be U-14 and older this coming season.
