General Program Information

GENERAL INFORMATION
  • In 2022, divisions will be offered for children born between 2010 and 2018.

  • No prior playing experience is needed.

  • The 2022 season will start on Saturday, September 10 and run through November 6 (we'll use November 12-13 as a makeup date, if needed).

  • There will be 12 different divisions, based on age and gender.

  • Players may play up in an older division or play down in a younger division if the child's parents think it is in the child's best interest.

  • Overview Of The Different Divisions Offered in 2022.

  • Games and practices are held on fields inside of Lower Merion Township.

  • Participants do NOT have to live in Lower Merion Township.

  • We will have as many as 1400 players participate in the Fall Intramural Program. An additional 900 players ages 7-18 play in the very prestigious LMSC Travel Team Program.

  • The objective of all our programs is "to provide each and every child with a fun filled experience in a soccer environment."

  • Our number one goal is fun, our number two goal is to develop each player's skills so that he/she may progress to higher levels of play in the future. We try to keep the winning and losing aspect in check for all players, and we expect this philosophy to be followed by the players' parents as well as other spectators at games.

  • The 2022-2023 season will be our 55th season.

  • LMSC also offers a WINTER Intramural Program which starts in December and runs through early March.

  • LMSC also offers a SPRING Intramural Program which starts in early April and runs through mid-June. The Spring Intramural Program plays mostly on Sunday afternoons.

  • LMSC is affiliated with the United States Soccer Federation (US Soccer).
