Lower Merion Soccer Club - Training Programs

LMSC will again offer a skills training program for players ages 7-10 who are NOT in the Travel Team Program. This program is an advanced training program designed for players who are considering trying out for the LMSC Travel Team Program in future seasons. The players will work with members of the LMSC coaching staff once a week during the fall season to further develop their soccer skills and help them learn to develop a love of the game.

Eligible players MUST be born between August 1, 2004 and July 31, 2008, no exceptions. Players should only sign up for this if they are focused on the game of soccer and want to progress to the Travel Team Program. This is NOT a recreational program. Rather, it is a high level training program for players who want to play at a level higher than the intramural program.

Each group will meet once a week for seven weeks. Each session will last 90 minutes.

The program will run on Sundays, 10:00 - 11:30 AM on the folowing dates: September 13, 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18, 25

This program will run at Welsh Valley Middle School.

During each 90 minute training session, each player will work with his or her own soccer ball, working on advanced soccer skills. The emphasis of this program will be on player development. The last 30 minutes will focus on small sided games where the players will be encouraged to practice the skills they just worked on in a game environment.

Players should wear cleats. Shin guards are required. Players are also required to bring a soccer ball.

The cost of this program is $150, payable to Lower Merion Soccer Club (LMSC).

MEET OUR TRAINING STAFF

All of the training programs offered by LMSC will be run by our VERY experienced coaching staff. Our training staff all have very extensive backgrounds as players and coaches. Many of our trainers have coached at the college level or the high school level. Almost all of our trainers have played at the college level. Almost all of the trainers coaching in the programs listed below are coaches in the LMSC Travel Team Program.

HOW TO REGISTER

Go to the Online Registration Form (button found below)
Complete the entire Online Registraion Form
When you have completed the Online Registration Form, click the "Registration Is Complete" Button at the bottom of the page
Print the Registration Acknowledgement Form which will appear in your web browser
Read AND SIGN the Release Section at the bottom of the printed form
Mail your printed Registration Acknowledgement Form AND your registration fee (payable to LMSC) to: LMSC, Box 360, Bryn Mawr, PA 19010.
Registrations will not be considered valid until we have received your form and check in the mail.
Registrations should be received by September 1st at the latest to ensure being accepted into the program.
Refund requests will only be honored if made at least one week before the scheduled start of the program.
