Dear Lower Merion Soccer Club Families, Players, Partners, and Supporters,

We are thrilled to announce the selection of Michele Burns as the new President of Lower Merion Soccer Club. Michele will be assuming the role at the start of the new year as she succeeds Biff Sturla and his nearly 43 years of service to the club. Michele brings to our Club a deep understanding and passion for youth soccer and community engagement, and a wealth of organizational and operational experience.

Michele has been an integral part of local youth soccer over the last 15 years. She has served with EPYSA, Ukrainian Nationals Club, C2, Trinity College and LMSC in roles as diverse as Team Manager, Club Administrator, State Registrar, VP of Operations, and COO. Michele's unwavering dedication to our community and to developing young athletes, fostering sportsmanship, and helping players thrive both on and off the field, along with her progressive experience across numerous positions with soccer organizations will further contribute to the advancement of our organization.

In her new role, Michele aims to expand existing programs and introduce new initiatives, increase membership, enhance the player experience, and create more opportunities for ALL players to develop and reach their potential. We are excited about the future under her leadership and look forward to building on our club's proud tradition of excellence and inclusiveness for the young people of our community.

Michele had previously been a member of the Lower Merion Soccer Club family as a parent and manager during her son's time with the club. So please join us in welcoming Michele back home to the Lower Merion Soccer Club family and to this new role. We are confident that with her leadership, Lower Merion Soccer Club will continue to thrive, grow, and inspire the young athletes, their families and the community we serve.

Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our club. We look forward to introducing Michele personally to our players, coaches, staff and families in the very near future.

    Best regards,

    Howard Burde and Ed Weiss
