August 26, 2005 - The U-11 Serpents team got their season off to a terrific start with a 3 win, 1 loss record at the 2005 Kids Peace Tournament in Allentown, PA. The record placed them solidly in first place against excellent teams they will face during the upcoming DELCO season. They shutout a terrific passing team from Parkland 4-0, beat a tough Carbon United team 3-1, and lost their one game against a fearless, hard charging Marple Newtown team 2-5.

The highlight of the weekend was a come from behind victory against Southern (6-5) after being down 1-5 at halftime. The team responded to direction from their coaches to forget about wins and losses and focus on playing the best soccer they could at all times. Overall, the team made a terrific transition to 11v11 soccer and demonstrated solid skills at all positions.
