March, 22 2009 - The U-11 LMSC Cobras girls enjoyed a successful winter winning the U-11 Eastern PA Futsal State Cup and then followed it up with an outstanding weekend's play at the Jefferson Cup - the #5 ranked girls tournament in the country. Playing in the Elite 11v11 Division, they shut out all competition in group play winning 3-0, 3-0 and 1-0. After conceeding an early goal in the final versus HSC Extreme (NJ) the Cobras pulled one back late, making it 1-1 to force extra time and then a penalty shootout. All square after 4 kicks, Claire Coyle made a great diving save to break the tie and stepped up to the penalty spot herself to slot home the final and winning penalty kick - a dramatic finish to a great weekend for the Cobras.
