November 14, 2010 - The LMSC Lightning won the top division in the U14 Delco league this year by defeating Hershey Pride 2-0 in the championship game.  The Lightning were undefeated in the regular season posting a 9-0-2 record and went on to defeat a strong Montgomery United team 2-1 in the semi-final game.   Throughout the season it was a complete team effort with strong defense, great goaltending and an efficient offense. 

This was the Lightning's second Delco league championship and was particularly gratifying because it is the last year the team will comepte in the Delco league as the boys move on to play high school soccer.  In addition, the team trained and played under the direction of a new coach, Paul Ferreira, since February of this year.  Paul and his staff worked diligently to prepare the team for Delco league play.
