March 18, 2012 - The Lower Merion Storm (U-11A Girls)traveled to Richmond, Virginia to play in the Jefferson Cup the #2 ranked girls tournament in the country and returned as tournament champions. The Storm went 4-0 scoring 12 goals and only allowing three.

In group play the Storm beat a very good Pinnie United team from Ohio 2-1. The Storm then defeated Prince William (northern Virginia) 3-1. The Storm needed a win in their third and final bracket game and came away with a 3-0 win against FVAA Red from North Carolina. This put them into the championship game against Carlisle Revs from Central Pennsylvania. The Storm came up with another great effort and won 4-1 to take home the championship.
