October 7, 2012 - The LMSC Grommies (U-10C Boys) competed in the Select Division of the Yardley Makefield Columbus Cup over the Columbus Day Weekend and won the Select Division in the U10 age group. The boys played stout defense only giving up one goal in four games. On Saturday, they won their first game 9 to 0 and their second game 4 to 0. On Sunday, they played to a 0 - 0 tie to earn a berth in the championship game. In the championship game, the score was tied 1 to 1 after the full fifty minutes and ten minutes of overtime. In the penalty kick shootout, the boys went to 8 shooters and triumphed 3 to 2 on penalty kicks to win their division and the tournament.
