May 27, 2013 - Lower Merion Barcelona, U-11B, under coach Greig Edwards, won the 8 vs. 8 bracket of the Voorhees Memorial Day Classic. Barcelona defeated the Silver Lake Soccer Academy Kickers of Staten Island, N.Y., 5-1, in the final. Barcelona navigated pool play a clean 4-0. The perfect record including a thrilling last second victory over the M.O.T. Strikers of Middletown, Del., in the final game of qualifying play. Lower Merion scored with 20 seconds remaining.

Barcelona scored 28 goals while allowing six in its five games.
