Each year during travel team tryouts, we are asked if players ever move up to higher levels of travel teams within the club. The
answer to that is,
YES, IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME.
One clear example of this is Alex Kades who, when he was Under 9 travel team age, played in the intramural program. He tried out
for the travel team program at Under 10 and was selected for the Under 10 D team, the LMSC Force, coached by David Dwyer.
The following year, Alex was selected for the Under 11 C team, the LMSC Chaos, coached by Dan Weiss.
Alex continued to improve and the following year, he was selected for the Under 12 B LMSC Quick Boys, coached by Paul Stinson.
This year, thanks to the hard work under coaches Dwyer, Weiss and Stinson, Kades continued to improve his game
and was selected for the Under 13 LMSC Sabertooth Rats.
We would like to congratulate Alex on his rise from the 'D' travel to 'A' travel. He is one of several players over the years who
have made that climb. We wish Alex the best of luck with the Sabertooth Rats and hope that his progress over the last four years
will serve as inspiration for other players to work hard to improve their game and get to higher levels in the travel team program.
