LMSC MOTOR MOUTHS (U-10A BOYS) TAKE SECOND
IN EPYSA INDOOR STATE CUPS

January 4, 2014 - The LMSC Motor Mouths (U-10A Boys) went into the Indoor State Cups as defending champions, but came up just short of defending their title from 2013 as they lost a tough 2-1 overtime decision to the Fishtown Hotspurs from Philadelphia.

The Motor Mouths easily won their four team bracket, defeating Montgomery Barca 5-1, Ukrainian Zirka Red 8-3 and the Philadelphia Soccer Club Gunners 5-1. The team advanced to the semifinals where they met the LMSC Red Devils in an all LMSC battle. Both LMSC teams played well and the fans were treated to some good soccer by both teams. In the end, the Motor Mouths came out on top to advance to the championship game.

For the second year in a row, LMSC would play Fishtown in the finals. The Motor Mouths opened up the scoring in the finals, but Fishtown managed to tie the score, forcing the game to go to overtime. Tournament rules stated that teams are not allowed to use goalies in the sudden death overtime. The game continued back and forth but Fishtown was the first to score, earning them the championship.
