January 20, 2014 - The Lower Merion Under 8 Boys Academy won the first session YSC Under 9 League First Session Indoor Championship. The team opened up with a 3-0 win over FC Continental, then defeated Rose Tree U-9s 5-0. That win put them into the championship game where they defeated the Chestnut Hill Lightning 6-1. Goalkeeper Ryan Carella allowed only one goal in the three games while the offense put in an impressive 14 goals, despite playing teams a year older than them.
