The LMSC U-9 Ding completed their State Cup journey by wining the State Championship. The Ding boys defeated Lehigh Vally United 3-2 in the final.
The Ding came out on top of their first two preliminary round games with wins over Upper Dublin (5-1) and Lighthouse (8-0).
Our Ding boys advanced to the quarter-finals where they faced Super Nova. The Ding came out firing and put in one of their best
all-around performances of the year and prevailed 8-1.
The victory placed the Ding in an all-LMSC semi-final against the LMSC Swarm. The Ding defeated the Swarm 5-0 to advance to the State Cup final.
In the final, the Ding boys made it 1-0 in the first three minutes, but in the twelfth minute LVU equalized, making it 1-1.
The Ding regained their composure and took a 3-1 lead into the half. Lehigh Valley opened the second half with a jump in their step
but the Ding boys stayed focused and gutted out a hard fought and well-deserved victory.
