    Introducing Shane Rineer - Director of Coaching, Lower Merion Soccer Club

    We are excited to welcome Shane Rineer as the new Director of Coaching for Lower Merion Soccer Club. Shane brings a wealth of experience in coaching, program development, and player mentorship at both the collegiate and youth levels. With over 14 years of coaching experience at elite college programs, including Haverford College, Colgate University, and Amherst College, he has a proven track record of success in player development, recruitment, and program leadership.

    Shane's career highlights include three Centennial Conference Championships, multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, and recognition as the Centennial Conference and NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Coach of the Year. His ability to build a winning culture while emphasizing academic excellence has earned him national recognition.

    In addition to his collegiate success, Shane has had a significant impact in youth and high school soccer. As Head Coach of the Westtown School boys' varsity soccer team, he has led the program to two Friends Schools League Championships and two PAISAA State Semifinal appearances. Under his leadership, Westtown has become a top-tier high school soccer program, attracting talented student-athletes from across the country and around the world.

    Shane also has extensive experience in club soccer, previously serving not only as the Head Coach of LMSC Lightning but as Head Coach for Ukrainian Nationals Soccer Club and Director of the "College Ready Program," where he guided players and families through the college recruitment process. His leadership, passion for player development, and commitment to excellence will be invaluable to our club as we continue to grow and provide the best opportunities for our players.
