• The emphasis of our Oldest Age Divisions is on enjoyment of the game, skill development and learning to be a part of a "team."
  
  
• Each player is assigned to a team for the season. Each team will have their own head coach.
  
  
• For the first Sunday, each team will have an 75 minute practice.
  
  
• For the remaining weekends, teams will meet for 90 minutes. The first 30 minutes will be devoted to working on soccer skills. This will be followed by a 50 minute soccer game where each team will play against one of the other teams in their division.
  
  
• Each player will be expected to bring a sized 4 soccer ball each week.
  
  
• During the 30 minute practice period, the coach will lead the players through various skill development activities.
  
  
• GAME TIMES: All games will be on Sundays. The earliest start will be noon. The latest start will be 6:00. Game times for all teams will be different each week.
  
  
• Each team might have one or more Saturday afternoon games.
  
  
• There are no weeknight practices in the Spring Intramural Program.
  
  
• Heading a ball and slide tackles are illegal in these age groups.
  
  
• Some divisions will close out early due to the limited number of parents who volunteer as head coaches.
  
  
• Team assignments will not be posted on our web page until about 10 days before the start of the season.
  
  
• Game schedules will not be posted on our web page until around 10 days before the start of the season.
  
  
• Team records and standings will NOT be kept, there will be no championships and no all star games. The emphasis of the program will be on enjoying the game of soccer itself.

Due to our limited field availability in the spring, LMSC will NOT offer soccer for the 2008-2009 birth divisions (boys Majors and girls Cosmos Divisions). We will again offer these divisions in the fall when more fields are available for our use.
