MICHAEL BEADLE - Head coach for our boys Under 10 D team.
Mike has been coaching for many years at the Chester Upland Youth Soccer Program and the West Philly Hurricanes Soccer Academy.
He has also served for five years as the Director of Soccer Programming for the Village of Champions Network in Philadelphia. He
oversees a staff of coaches and volunters, organizes fundraising events and coaches in that program. Michael played at the college
level for Lincoln University where he majored in Health Science. Michael was the team captain for three years and led the team
to the Division Conference championship in his senior year. He was awarded the "Senior Player Of The Year Award."
RICK BELL - Head coach for our boys Under 11 B team.
Rick has been an active soccer player since the age of five. He played club soccer and high school soccer up in Connecticut where he was
selected to the Greater New Haven District all area first team. After high school, Rick played for the Temple University club team and still
plays in various adult leagues in the area. Rick began his coaching career for the Barnard Middle School team in New Haven, CT. He recently
moved to this area and was an assistant coach for the LMSC Vortex (Under 13A boys team) in 2017-2018. Rick helped lead Vortex to the state
GABE BETANCOURT - Head coach for our boys Under 11 A team and boys Under 15 A team.
Gabe has been coaching in the LMSC system for over 20 years. In 2015, Gabe was voted LMSC Boys Travel Team Coach of The Year. In 2001, he was voted LMSC Girls Travel Team Coach of The Year.
In 2015-16, his Under 12 Red Devils (B team) were Outdoor State Cup Semifinalists, Indoor State Cup Finalists, co-champions of Delco's first division, champions at FC Delco Players Cup
and Keystone Cup, and finalists at the MAPS Fall Challenge. In 2007, his Under 17 Riptide girls team were US Club Northeast Region champions and competed at US Club Nationals
in Greensboro, NC. Over the years, Gabe has coached both girls and boys high school varsity, travel ages Under 9 through Under 18.
Gabe holds a USSF National B license and the NSCAA Goalkeeper certificates I&II. Gabe was an All-Catholic selection and a team captain at Archbishop Carroll years ago.
CHRIS BLACK - Head coach for our boys Under 10 C team and boys Under 16 B team
Chris is an assistant coach at Gwynedd Mercy College. While attending Gwynedd Mercy College as a student, Chris was an all-conference
selection as well as a team captain. He is currently the head coach of our 2011 boys LMSC Rangers team and will continue working with
them this coming year. He was an ODP region 1 selected player as well as captain of the State ODP team in Eastern PA. Chris also won a
championship at his High school team where he was the two year captain and received the Player Of The Year Award in his senior year.
SHAWN BONEY - Head coach for our boys Under 11 C team and boys U-15C team.
Shawn is currently coaching the LMSC Young Boyz, our Under 12 D boys team and the LMSC Tigers, our Under 12 B girls team.
Shawn played professionally for well over 10 years, including several years for the Philadelphia Kixx indoor team. Shawn played for the
Trinidad & Tobago Men's National Team. Shawn also played for Trinidad & Tobago in the Under 20 World Cup in 1991. Shawn was head coach for the
Germantown Friends High School varsity team for many years.
Shawn was first team All American (Division II) at Southern Connecticut State University and helped them win the NCAA Division II national championship.
Shawn was voted LMSC Coach Of The Year in 2013.
DAVID CASSANELLI - Head coach for our boys Under 12 B team.
David has been the head coach for the Haverford High School Haverford High School boys varsity team for the last four seasons.
He is currently the head coach for the LMSC Mayhem, our boys Under 14 B team. Prior to coaching the Mayhem, he coached the
LMSC Boom, who won the U9 'B' flight indoor state championship. David played for the D1 Men's team at Duquesne University
for four years, . As a youth player, David played for many years at the 'A' level for LMSC. In high school, David earned
All Southestern Pennsylvania Honors, All State Honors and was selected Delaware County Player Of The Year
KYLE CLARK - Head coach for our girls Under 11 B team and boys Under 8 B team
Kyle is an assistant coach for the Penn State University - Brandywine Men's team.
Before coaching at LMSC, Kyle coached at Tompkins Cortland Coummunity College in New York. He served as assistant coach
and goalkeeper coach there, helping the team post an undefeated regular season in 2017 and win the MSAC championship. The
team produced two NSCAA All-Americans. Kyle also coached club soccer at Homer Soccer Club for many years.
Before that, Kyle played at Tompkins Cortland Community College and the Greater Binghamton Football Club.
DANIEL CLITNOVICI - Girls Travel Team Director of Coaching (DOC), head coach for our girls Under 18 A and Under 16 B teams.
Daniel is the LMSC Girls Travel Team Director of Coaching (DOC). He is also the head coach of our Under 16A girls (LMSC Pride) team
and our Under 17 girls (LMSC Avengers) team. Daniel also is in charge of our girls Developmental Academy.
Daniel is the associate head coach for the Villanova University Women's team. He has over 15 years of professional coaching experience.
He has served as assistant coach for the Western New York
Flash of the National Women's Soccer League, the 2010 W-League champions, 2011 and 2012 Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) champions
and the 2013 and 2016 National Women's Soccer League champions. Daniel was also the head coach for the Colorado Rapids and Colorado Pride women's
teams. Daniel was named USL W-League Coach of the Year in 2014. He has also served as the Executive Director of Coaching for
the Western New York Flash youth academy. Before getting into coaching, Daniel played professionally for teams including FC Universitatea Craiova
(Romanian League champions), Apollon Smyrni F.C. (Greece), Gold Coast United FC (Australia) and Barnsley FC in England.
Daniel holds an 'A' level coaching license from the U.S. Soccer Federation.
MIKE DISCAVAGE - Head coach for our boys Under 14 C team.
Mike is the assistant coach for the LaSalle University Men's team. Before coaching at LaSalle, Mike was the assistant coach for the
Haverford College Men's team. Mike helped lead the team to the 2018
Centennial Conference Championship. Before coaching at Haverford College, Mike was the assistant varsity
head coach for the Harriton High School boys' team.
Mike played division one soccer at Rhode Island University where he majored in Pharmacology. Mike is a former player at LMSC.
As a youth, Mike was team captain for his travel
team which won the state championship at Under 14 and Under 15. His team were Region One semifinalists at Under 14. Mike later played several
years in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy.
CHARLIE DODDS - Head coach for our boys Under 14 A team.
In 2017, Charlie led his LMSC 007's team to the boys Under 10 state finals.
Charlie is the President of YSC Sports in Wayne.
He was the President and Owner of Rocket Sports for 12 years, before selling the company in 2011, when it changed to YSC Sports.
Charlie is the head coach for the West Chester East boys varsity. East were co-champions of the ChesMont League in 2018. Charlie was
named ChesMont League coach of the year at East in 2002, 2003 and 2018. He was Central League Coach of the Year in 2012 while coaching
Marple Newtown High School.
In 2003, Charlie lead West Chester East High school to a second place finish in the state playoffs,
losing the state championship game in overtime. Charlie has been coaching youth soccer and running soccer camps for over 25 years.
Charlie was a standout player at Cabrini College.
PETE GANGL - Head coach for our girls Under 12 A team and girls Under 15 A team
Pete is currently the head coach for the LMSC Lynx, our Under 11 A girls travel team, and the LMSC Impact, our Under 14 A girls travel team.
In 2019, Pete was voted Eastern Pennyslvania Youth Soccer Association's (EPYSA) Travel Team Coach Of The Year.
Pete was the head coach for the LMSC Storm for 10 years. During that time, they were in the state championship game six consecutive years,
winning state cups at U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19. In 2019, the Storm were finalists in the Under 19 Region One championships. They were
Region One semifinalists in 2017 and 2018.
Over 20 of the Storm players will be playing at the college level of the fall of 2019. The Impact were state finalists in 2017 and are
emerging as one of the top teams in the state.
Pete was the recipient of the LMSC Girls Coach Of The Year Award in 2006, 2017 and 2019.
Pete has been coaching youth soccer for over 20 years including the last 15 with LMSC.
In 2017, Pete led both the Storm and the Impact to EPYSA Indoor State Championships.
Pete earned his NFHS/NSCAA Professional Development Certificate as well as his NSCAA Mental/Physical Player Development Diploma.
Pete coached our LMSC Stingrays girls team through U-14 and the LMSC Mustangs boys team from U-13 through U-18.
Pete was assistant coach for the Valley Forge Military College's Men's team for several years.
Pete holds a USSF National License, NSCAA diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeper Diploma and a USFF Futsal Certification.
MEGAN GELDERNICK - Head coach for our girls Under 13 A team and LMSC Goalkeeper Staff Coach
Megan was a four year stand out goalkeeper at The Ohio State University from 2013-16. She helped lead the Buckeyes to the Sweet Sixteen of
the NCAA Division One playoffs in 2015 and to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2016. During her final season, Geldernick played over
500 minutes in goal for the Buckeyes and finished with a .727 save percentage and 1.04 goals against average. Geldernick earned back-to-back
road wins against Maryland and Purdue. A three time member of the Academic all-Big Ten team and Ohio State Scholar Athlete, Geldernick
graduated Cum Laude from Ohio State in 2017.
Megan was an ECNL Ohio Premier Head Coach as well as a Goalkeepers Coach and served at the Ohio State Elite Camps as one of the top goalkeeper
coaches. She holds a U.S. Federation Licensed Coach certification.
BLAKE GRIFFIN - Head coach for our boys Under 13 A team
Blake has been coaching with the Philadelphia Union Youth Academy for the past three years. In 2018, Blake led the '08 Mambas to an undefeated
fall season in the APL and a Union Cup tournament championship. Recently, Blake led his '09 Mambas in their run to the 2019 Explorer Cup championship.
Prior to that, Blake coached at LMSC. Blake began coaching youth soccer in his native state of North Carolina, starting in 2001. He coached at Triangle
Futbol Club and Triangle United Soccer Association. After moving to Philadelphia in 2009, Blake began coaching in the YSC Sports PDP program and was an
assistant coach with Chestnut Hill Academy. Blake also served as coach for Starfinder's Senior Leaders Program. He has coached at nearly every age
level between the ages of 5 and 18. Prior to beginning his coaching career, Blake played Division I college soccer at the University of North Carolina
at Asheville. Blake won multiple accolades in youth soccer in North Carolina, including winning back to back NCYSA State Championships with Charlotte
Park Sharon United. Blake holds USSF "C" and "D" coaching licenses. Blake is also an active attorney, licensed in Pennsylvania.
KYLE GRIZZARD - Head coach for our boys Under 13 C team
Kyle is currently the head coach of the Boys 2011 Blizzard and 2011 Dark Knights. Kyle has been coaching in LMSC for six years
and has assisted in the developmental academies, summer select program, intramurals program as well as specialized clinics.
In 2016, Kyle led the LMSC Force to the EPYSA Indoor state cup semifinals. He coached the LMSC Sting for 4 years before taking
over the Blizzard. Kyle played soccer at the college level for Temple University. As a youth player, Kyle played in the Virginia
Olympic Development Program and his club team Williamsburg Soccer Club in Virginia won two state championships and were state
finalists six times. Kyle was the head coach for Girard College for several years and coached at Lansdowne FC before moving
over to LMSC. He has his Grassroots license and is pursuing a National "D" License as well is a USSF Grade 7 Certified Referee.
ANTHONY HAINES - Head Coach for our Under 9 A boys team and Undder 10 B boys team, Travel Team Program Registrar
Anthony is the current head coach for our Under 9 B Irmãos Red boys travel team. They started off their U9 season as Champions of the second flight
of their EDP league bracket, the second flight of the Bethesda Premier Cup, the first flight of the YMS Columbus Cup and second flight of the
Westmont Battle of Hilltop tournament, ending the Fall 2019 season with a record of 25-0-2. Anthony is the head coach for the Harriton High
School Boys Junior Varsity team and he also helps coach our youngest age groups in the fall season and the spring season. He also helps coach
many of our indoor training programs during the winter months. Anthony was honored as the 2017 LMSC Intramural Program coach of the year and
the Boys Travel Team coach of the year in Fall 2019 in recognition of his excellent work in all of these programs. He currently holds his US
Soccer D, E and F coaching licenses. Anthony grew up playing for LMSC Magic, helping the team win two outdoor and three indoor State Championships.
Anthony played varsity soccer at Lower Merion High School for three years. He was captain his senior year and received All Central League and
All Main Line honors (second team). He played on the Club soccer team at Temple University where he is a dual major in Economics and Finance
at Temple's Fox School of Business.
DALE HAINES - Club Vice President, Boys Travel Team Director of Coaching, head coach for our boys Under 10 A team and boys Under 17 A team
Dale has been coaching in the Lower Merion Soccer Club (LMSC) system for 15 years. Dale is Vice President, Boys Travel Team Director Of Coaching and
he also runs the Summer Travel Team Program. Dale's current squads are U9 'A' Irmãos Navy and U-16 'A' Invictus. Invictus is a USYSA National
League (representing the top 32 club teams in the country) team and has been so for the past three years. Invictus won the state championship
in 2017 and were finalists in 2018 and 2019. They were also Region I finalists in 2017 and have captured numerous tournament championships,
including two of the last three Bethesda Premier Cup titles. His U9A Irmãos team played a year up last year in all competitions. They placed
third in the second flight of the EDP fall league, won the second flight of Battle of Hilltop tournament and were finalists in the second flight
of the Jack Walsh tournament. The started off their U9 season as Champions of the top flight of their EDP league bracket and top flight of the
Bethesda Premier Cup. They were also Finalists at the Lou Ramous Classic.
Dale is also a Staff Coach with LMSC, working primarily with the Pee Wee programs. Dale was awarded the LMSC Intramural Coach of the Year in 2012.
Dale played high school soccer at Downingtown and he currently holds a USSF D License and a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma.
For his day job, Dale is an Associate Professor at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine, Temple University.
JARED HARRIS - Head coach for our boys Under 16 A team
Jared has been a head coach in LMSC for four years.
In 2019, Jared led the LMSC Legacy (U-14 boys) to the state finals.
Jared has also coached at the high school level, most recently
serving as head coach for the Marple Newtown High School boys varsity.
In 2016, Jared led his LMSC Silverbacks to the semifinals of the EPYSA state cups.
In 2015, Jared led his LMSC Legends to a second place finish in the EPYSA state cups and a second place in
the Atlantic Premier League, comprised of many of the top teams from Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland and Delaware.
In 2012, Jared led the LMSC Red Devils (U-9B team) to a third place finish in Delco Soccer League's
top flight. His excellent work with the Red Devils earned Jared the LMSC Coach Of the Year Award for 2012.
Jared was a four year player at Temple University. Before coming to LMSC, Jared coached for PA Classics in Lancaster.
RYAN HARTZELL - Head coach for our girls Under 12 C and Under 13 C girls teams
Ryan was recently named the head coach for the Rosemont College women's team. Ryan played at the college level at
Rosemont where his finished his career
in the top five of most of Rosemont College's Men's Program career scoring records. Before being named head coach, Ryan served as assistant
coach for several years at Rosemont.
TOM HONEYMAN - Head coach for our girls Under 17 B team
Tom is currently the head coach for the LMSC Legend, our Under 14 B girls team. Tom was voted LMSC Coach Of The Year in 2015.
Tom was most recently an assistant coach for the Men's program at Neumann University in 2009.
From 2001-2006, he was the head varsity coach at Pennsauken High School.
From 1997-2001, Tom was a graduate assistant at his alma mater, St. Joseph's University.
Throughout many of those summers, he worked youth soccer camps for the Philadelphia Kixx and Kevin Sloan Soccer Academy.
As a player, Tom was Philadelphia Public League Soccer Player of the Year in 1988 at Frankford High School.
His club team (Juniata YSC) won the EPYSA State Cup in 1988. He was a four year starter at St. Joseph's
graduating in 1992. In 2000, he was a defender on the Ukrainian men's semi-pro team who reached the national
final four for men's amateur soccer in the United States.
Tom was inducted into the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Hall of Fame in 2012.
BRENT JACQUETTE - Head coach for our boys Under 18 A team
In 2019, Brent led the Under 19 boys LMSC Rats team to the State Cup Championship, Region One League championship, East Regionals appearance
for the second year in a row and third place finish at the USYS Nationals. Additionally the U16 Wanderers finished in third place in the highly
competitive Region One League. Brent is formerly the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Widener University, having led the Pride for the last ten seasons.
Now serving as a Senior Account Consultant at Athlete College Advisors, Brent is also CEO of Chester Upland Youth Soccer, a 501c3 operating in
Chester and Upland, Pennsylvania providing health and wellness programs to over 400 youth annually. Brent played at the Pennsylvania State
University, earning All American and All Big Ten status while also being named a Soccer America MVP and All American his senior season.
After playing in the USL for two seasons, he transitioned into the corporate and coaching world. Brent has also been involved with Coaching
Education through EPYSA and the US Soccer Foundation, holding both the US Soccer A License and NSCAA Premier Diploma.
SAM LANE - Head coach for our boys Under 17 A team and girls Under 14 B team
Sam is the LMSC Technical Director for LMSC, responsible for working with and helping train our coaching staff. Sam coached at the college
level for many years, most recently for the division 1 Drexel Universiy Men's team.
Sam previously was a soccer standout at
Franklin and Marshall College, leading the Diplomats to to a 55-15-5 record over his four-year career, including winning the Centennial Conference
for the first time in program history and advancing to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament in the same year.
In the following year, Sam helped lead the Diplomats to the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA Tournament. Sam was named 1st Team All Centennial and 1st Team
Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Star as a senior, and named 2nd Team All Centennial Conference as a sophomore.
Prior to coaching at Drexel, Sam was an Assistant Coach at Sewanee University Men's Soccer (which also featured the highest GPA of all male teams),
and responsible for scouting, video analysis, video and social media coordination. Sam holds a USSF "E" License.
Sam played for LMSC as a youth player.
MICHAEL MANN - Head coach for our boys Under 12 C team
Mike has been coaching at LMSC for over six years. Mike is currently the head coach for the LMSC Falcons, U-11 boys. Before coaching
the Falcons, Mike was the head coach for the LMSC Ambush from 2014-2018.
Mike was on the coaching staff at Springfield (Delco) High School from 2005-2016. Mike is a teacher at Springfield High School.
Mike served as the head coach for both the Springfield boys JV and the Springfield freshman teams.
Before coaching at Springfield, Mike coached the JV at Upper Darby High School as well as serving
as the assistant varsity coach at Conwell-Egan Catholic High School. As a player, Mike was a four year varsity player at Conwell-Egan.
CHRIS McLAIN - Head Coach for our girls Under 16 A team
Chris has been the head coach for the Villanova University Women's team since 2017. In 2019 Chris led the Villanova women's team to the Big East
final four for the first time in over 15 years. Prior to coaching at Villanova, Chris was the Associate Head Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for
The Ohio State University. While at Ohio State, Chris helped lead the team to the NCAA Tournament's Sweet 16. The team had a record of 24-14-6
during his two years as Associate Head Coach. Before coaching at Ohio State, Chris spent 11 seasons as Associate Head Coach at Colgate University.
Chris served on the Antigua National Team coaching staff in 2012 as well as the Under 18 U.S. National Team staff in 2008. He holds an Advanced
National Diploma from US Soccer Coaches Association.
SAM OLYAEI - Head Coach for our boys Under 14 B team and co-head coach for our boys Under 9 B team
Sam has been coaching at LMSC since 2017. Previously, he was with Beachside Soccer Club and Westport Soccer Association as a head
coach for their U13, U14, and U15 premier and travel teams. Prior to his coaching career, Sam was a D1/club soccer player at Fairfield
University where he graduated with an MBA and BA in Economics and International Studies. Additionally he played for semi-pro clubs in
the UAE at the U19 and U23 level before spending a stint as a technical assistant responsible for scouting and performance tracking.
Sam currently holds a USSF D coaching license, AFC Grassroots License and various other certifications.
SINA OLYAEI - Co-head Coach for our boys Under 9 B team and assistant coach for our boys Under 9 B team
Sina is a recent addition to our LMSC Coaching staff. He has been involved in soccer since the age of five, finishing up his playing
career with a four year high school stint in Dubai and an additional three years for Quinnipiac University at the Club Soccer level.
He graduated from Quinnipiac University with a degree in International Business and has since been working on his coaching education.
He currently holds grassroots (4v4,7v7,9v9) licenses from the USSF.
KATHY PRESCOTT - Head coach for our girls Under 9 A team and girls Under 15 B team. LMSC Goalkeeper Staff Coach
Kathy is the assistant coach for the University of Pennsylvania Women's team, as well as their goalkeeper coach.
As head coach for the LMSC Thorns, Kathy was voted the LMSC Girls Travel Team Coach Of The Year in 2018.
Kathy played goalkeeper for four years at Haverford College, appearing in one NCAA tournament, two Centennial Conference tournaments, and being named to the
All-Centennial Conference team.
Before joining the staff at U. Penn, Kathy was an assistant coach at Bryn Mawr College.
She is also pursuing a Master's in Sports Business
with a concentration in Sports Analytics from Temple University. Kathy has worked at Soccerplus Camps as a Goalkeeper staff coach for the past four
years under the tutelage of some of the best goalkeeper coaches in the country. Prior to starting to coach in Pennsylvania she worked as an assistant
coach for an Under 14 girls team in her hometown of Lenox, MA and also helped to run their Under 6 through Under 12 recreational program during high school.
Kathy has U.S. Soccer Licenses and also recently completed the United Soccer Coaches Level 1 Goalkeeper Diploma.
TRAVIS REGNER - Head coach for our Under 17 A girls team
Travis is assistant coach for the Villanova University Women's Soccer team. Before arriving at Villanova, Travis was the assistant
coach for the Eastern University's Men's Team. At Eastern, Travis helped with all aspects of running a Top 25 nationally ranked program,
including recruiting and logistics. Prior to Eastern, Travis spent two years at the University at Albany. While at Albany, Travis
helped with many aspects of running a Division 1 program and was tasked with working with the goalkeepers. The Great Danes won their
first ever conference title in Travis' second season. Travis played two seasons at Tompkins Cortland Community College, contributing to
a team ranked as high as 3rd in the country, and never dropping out of the top 10 nationally. Travis has coached at Odyssey Sport Soccer
Club in Sherrill, New York since 2010. He believes strongly in the US Soccer curriculum and their overall mission. Along with this is
the importance of being licensed, which he actively promotes by holding his USSF D License along with his NSCAA GK 1&2 Diplomas.
JULIAN REY - Head coach for our boys Under 9 D team
Prior to moving to the Uunited States, Julian was a very active player in Bogotá, Colombia. He is currently finishing
up his studies at Temple University where he is studying Sports and Recreation Management. In addition to
coaching at LMSC, Julian is our Travel Team Tryout Coordinator and our Liasion to the local travel team leagues.
Julian works at the main headquarters of EPYSA (Eastern Pennsylvania Youth Soccer Association).
KEVIN RHOADES - Head coach for our boys Under 19 A team and boys Under 8 A team
Kevin is currently the head coach for the LMSC Fever, our Under 17 A boys travel team. In 2016, Kevin led the LMSC Fire to the EPYSA Indoor
State Championship. Kevin is also very active in LMSC as a staff coach, coaching in our Developmental Academy as well as our
many training programs.
Kevin earned his 'D' level coaching license from U.S. Soccer.
Kevin played four years for the Division One men's team at St. Joseph's University. After graduating, Kevin coached the Rosemont College
women's team for two years, leading them to the CSAC conference championship.
In 2015, Kevin's LMSC Herricanes team won the Under 13 Girls Indoor State championship.
Kevin coached youth soccer for the Ukrainian Nationals club before
coming to LMSC where he is a senior staff coach, running numerous training sessions throughout the year. As a youth player, Kevin played
in the EPYSA Olympic Development Program. He played club soccer for Super Nova FC under Yugoslavian national player Niki Nikolic.
JEFF RHODES - Head coach for our girls Under 10 A team
Jeff has been the head coach for Harriton High School girls varsity soccer for eight years. In 2015, Jeff led his
team where he led his team to a second place finish (out of 12 teams). Before that, Jeff was the Junior Varsity head coach for the
Harriton High School boys varsity.
Jeff is also an LMSC staff coach, helping to run various training programs as well as the LMSC Under Girls Developmental Academy.
Jeff was voted LMSC Travel Team Coach Of The Year in 2014.
Before getting into coaching, Jeff played high school, club, ODP, and collegiate
soccer. Individually, Jeff earned All-Conference honors and was selected to play for his State select team.
Jeff also competed on a club team that was Regional Cup Champions and State Cup Champions.
Jeff coached in Illinois and Hawaii before coming to the Philadelphia Area.
Since joining the Lower Merion community, Jeff has coached the boys JV soccer team at Harriton High School and the LMSC U-10 Boys Grommies.
NICO SEVERINI - Head coach for our girls Under 14 A team
Nico is currently the head coach for the LMSC Furia, our Under 12 A girls travel team. In 2017, Nico led the Furia to the
EPYSA Indoor State Cup championship.
In 2015 and 2013, Nico led the LMSC Fenix to the EPYSA State Championship.
Nico is the head coach for Lower Merion High School boys varsity. In 2019, Nico led the team to an undefeated regular season
(17 wins, 0 losses, 1 tie) and was named Central League Coach Of The Year. He was also voted Coach Of The Year in 2016.
His team advanced to the state quarterfinals.
In 2010, Nico led Lower Merion to 2010 District One Championshhip.
In 2013, Nico led the Lower Merion boys to a 16-0-0 record during the regular season with the team recording 15 shutouts.
Before coaching at LMHS, Nico was head coach for the Plymouth-Whitemarsh Boys Varsity.
Nico was voted LMSC Travel Team Coach Of The Year in 2012.
As a youth, Nico was on the Region One USA team and in the National team pool.
In high school, Nick was voted the Central League Player Of The Year and was a high school regional All-American
and All-State selection. Nick has trained internationally in Sevilla (Spain) and Independiente and Liniers (Argentina).
As a youth player, his FC Delco club team qualified for nationals three times. He was a four year player at the
University of Pennsylvania (Ivy League champions). Nico is also a head coach for the EPYSA Olympic Development Program
as well as the Region One USA Olympic Development Program (ODP).
Nico has a US soccer National Coaching License and a National Argentine Soccer Coaching Diploma.
Nico has coached many players on the Division I, II, and III collegiate level.
ALEX SROLIS - Head coach for our girls Under 8 A team and girls Under 12 B team. LMSC Director of Goalkeepers (D.O.G.)
Alex is the head coach for girls Developmental Academy and U-11 Moxie team. She currently holds a NSCAA National C coaching license. Alex is also the club's
Director of Goalkeepers, responsible for organizing and coordinating our goalkeeper training.
She is the assistant coach for the Harriton High School Varsity Boys team and is the program's goalkeeper trainer. Alex was a four-year goalkeeper
starter for West Chester University 2013-2017 where she set school records for games played (81), wins (61), minutes played (7019) and career shutouts (36). Alex
earned PSAC women's conference records for shutouts and was awarded first-team ECAC goalkeeper, second team all mid-Atlantic region goalkeeper, and first team
all-region mid-Atlantic scholar goalkeeper. Alex was also the goalkeeper for the LMSC Heart, leading the Heart to the EPYSA state championship in 2008 and 2009.
AJ STUECK - Head coach for Under 10 B girls.
AJ Stueck is the Head Women's Soccer Coach at Eastern University. Prior to arriving at Eastern University, he worked as the Associate
Head Coach for the women's soccer program at Wesleyan University in Connecticut. Before Wesleyan, Stueck worked a year as an
assistant coach for the men's soccer program at Yale University and a year as a men's and women's assistant at Illinois College.
Originally from Connecticut, Stueck played collegiately at Northeastern University and then at Providence College.
He graduated from Providence. As a high school player, he lead Brookfield High School to a pair of State Championships and
scored 91 career goals. He also played on US Youth National Teams.
Stueck also holds is USSF D License and NSCAA National Diploma
BIFF STURLA - LMSC President, head of Developmental Academy Program
Biff has been the President of LMSC since 1999. This is his 38th year coaching in LMSC.
His teams have won 27 State Championships (13 outdoor and 14 indoor), three Region One USA Championships and one
second place finish at Nationals. His teams have also won 18 Delco League Division One championships.
In 2017, Biff led the LMSC Under 9 boys to the state championship. The team won the indoor state cup in 2019.
In 2015, his U-14 boys were outdoor state finalists and indoor state champions.
In 2014, his U-10 boys team were state champions. In 2010, Biff's U-9 boys and his U-15 boys were both crowned state champions.
Biff was honored by EPYSA, our State Association, as the 2017 recipient of their Service To Youth Award.
In 2006, Biff was voted the EPYSA Coach Of The Year, NSCAA Regional Coach Of The Year and was a finalist for the NSCAA National Coach Of The Year.
Biff has been the head coach for Harriton High School Boys Varsity since 2002, leading Harriton to the District
Championship in 2006 and the District Finals in 2017.
As a high school coach, Biff has been voted the 1999 Philadelphia Inquirer Coach Of The Year, 2018, 2012 and 1997 Central League Coach Of The Year,
2004 Del-Val League Coach Of The Year, 1999 and 2002 Main Line Life Coach Of The Year.
DEVON SWAIM - Head coach for our girls Under 11 A team and girls Under 13 B team
Devon is currently an assistant women's soccer coach at Villanova University. Prior to coaching at Villanova, Swaim coached for Bucks County Community
College, the United German Hungarian soccer club and Neshaminy High School. Swaim began her college career playing at the University of Tennessee where,
in both years playing for the Lady Vols, she helped lead the team to multiple NCAA top 10 rankings, two NCAA Tournament berths, with one resulting in
a Sweet 16 appearance. After the 2007 campaign, her redshirt freshman year, Swaim was named to the SEC All-Freshman team. In 2008 they won the SEC East
Division title, the regular season title and SEC Conference Championship. Swaim then transferred closer to home and continued her playing career at
West Chester University. Her overall record as a Golden Ram was 37-3-5 with two PSAC championships and two NCAA tournament berths.
As a result of her efforts, Swaim was named to the NSCAA All-Region team.
Growing up, Swaim played club soccer for the original F.C. Pennsylvania Strikers. She was in and out of U.S. Youth National team camps/pools and was a
mainstay on the Region 1 and EPYSA State teams. She played three years at Neshaminy High School and picked up Suburban One League Player of the Year
honors in 2006, along with being named an NSCAA/Adidas High School Regional All-American and the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association (PSCA)
All-State Teams in 2004. Devon currently holds a USSF coaching license.
TEJAN WALCOTT - Head coach for our girls Under 14 C team
Tejan Walcott is the Assistant Soccer Coach at Haverford College.
As a player Walcott won two Centennial Conference Championships during his final two seasons and helped the Fords recapture the conference crown in his return to the sidelines as an assistant coach in 2018. Coach Wolcott has national coaching qualifications.
A three-time All-Centennial Conference forward, Walcott scored 22 goals and assisted on seven more during his collegiate career as he helped guide Haverford to a pair of Centennial Conference Championships as a junior and senior.
The Fords finished with the best regular season record in the Centennial Conference during three of his four seasons and also made three appearances in the Centennial Conference Championship match.
Walcott's 78 career games played (64 as a starter) are second in school history.
JOHN WITKOWSKI - Head coach for our boys Under 13 B team and our boys Under 15 B team
John was the head coach for the Penn State University - Hazleton men's team for many years. Before that, John was the head coach for the
University of Mount Union men's team for six years, leading the team to back to back 10 win seasons and the school's
first-ever Ohio Athletic Conference win. Prior to that, John was an
assistant coach for the Frostburg State University (Maryland) Men's team for five years. John was a four year letter winner in soccer
at Hartwick College where he was a three time recipient of the Phillip S. Wilder, Jr. Award for Academic Distinction.
After graduating, he earned his Master's Degree in Human Performance from Frostburg State University.
John has earned an NSCAA Premier Diploma, Advanced National Diploma, National Diploma, Director of Coaching Diploma,
National Youth Diploma and Goalkeeping Diploma.
JESSE ZAFIRATOS - Head coach for our boys Under 12 A team and boys Under 17 B team
Jesse is currently co-head coach for LMSC Invictus, our U-16 boys Invictus who were state champions in 2017 and were state finalists in 2018.
Jesse is also head coach of our U-16B boys team. Jesse is in charge of our summer camps as well as many our our winter training programs.
Jesse is the head coach for the Rosemont College Men's team. In his first season there in 2019 he doubled the teams win total and led
the Ravens to the CSAC Championship game. Before that, he was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at Penn State Brandywine for three years where
he led the team to the National Championship in 2018. Jesse also led Penn State Brandywine to the PSUAC championships in 2016, 2017 and
2018. His career record of 50-10-3, and .840 winning percentage is best all-time in the programs history. Jesse was voted PSUAC Coach
Of The Year in 2017. Prior to coaching there, Jesse was the Head Men's Coach at Valley Forge Military College. He started his coaching
career at Widener University where he was an assistant for four years on the men's side. Jesse played collegiately at Kutztown University
and then finished out at La Roche College where he was a team captain, three year starter, and led the team in goals as a junior. Jesse
is his high school team's all time leading points scorer, and was a three time first team all-league selection. He coached for five
years in the West Chester United Soccer Club before coming to Lower Merion. His teams have won numerous Delco Soccer League Championships
and tournaments. In 2014, Jesse was an assistant coach for a team that won the state championship. Jesse holds many NSCAA
and a USSF "B" Coaching license.
