US Soccer has made a lot of changes to youth soccer which will take place in the 2016-2017 season. These
changes will affect travel teams and travel team leagues throughout the United States. The biggest change
will be that travel teams will now be formed using Year Of Birth (YOB) eligibility. Teams will be formed
based on what year the child was born instead of using an August 1st cutoff as previously used the past 20+ years.

In order to ease the transition to the new age group classifications, LMSC will be running Year Of Birth training sessions periodically
in the winter months and spring months. These YOB training sessions will enable LMSC coaches to meet the players who are eligible to
tryout for their age group and will enable the players to get to meet the coaches.
LMSC is in the process of identifying the coaches for next year's teams. At present, we have identified the 'A' team coaches for next
year's boys teams. We plan to announce the 'A' team coaches for the girls teams in the next few days. We also plan to identify the 'B'
team coaches in as many age groups as possible, in the near future.
Many of the 'A' team coaches will be running YOB training sessions in December. LMSC will contact current travel team players with the
dates, times and fields for these training sessions. Travel team players from outside of LMSC who would like to participate are welcome
to contact the appropriate LMSC travel team coach.

Travel team players not currently playing in LMSC who would like to be seen by coaches in advance of tryouts in mid-April are welcome to contact
