The tryout schedule for the 2008 / 2009 teams is posted at the bottom of this page.
Each year, tryouts for all travel team age groups are held between April 20 and May 25.
Tryout dates for our Under 8 Developmental Travel Team Academy are also posted below.
Players wishing to tryout for the travel team program should make every effort to be at ALL tryouts listed for their age group.
Some age groups will have an additional tryout date. If this is the case, the additional tryout date will be announced at the first tryout.
LMSC will field up to four teams in each age group from Under 9 up through Under 15.
The number of teams formed in each age group will be dependent on the number of players
trying out, as well as the number of qualified coaches that we can identify for that
particular age group. There will be a maximum of four teams in each age group.
LMSC will also field teams in the Under 16 through Under 19 age groups if a qualified coach is willing to organize a team.
Players are not required to live in Lower Merion Township.
Players trying out MUST be born in the one year window listed in our tryout schedule. Overage players and underage players
will NOT be considered and will be removed from the tryout process. Please be sure to go to the age group
corresponding to your birth date. Birth certificates are collected after tryouts to ensure that all players are of the
proper age.
Each tryout session will last between 90 minutes and 120 minutes.
LMSC will also have tryouts for the Under 8 Developmental Academy. This program is geared for our top Under 8 players.
For the 2008-2009 season, players trying out MUST be born between August 1, 2000 and July 31, 2001,
no exceptions!! Please see information below for more information about the Under 8 Developmental Academy.

WELSH VALLEY MIDDLE SCHOOL: Hagy's Ford Road in Penn Valley, just off of Conshohocken
State Road (Route 23).
From Philadelphia, go west on Conshohocken State Road (Route 23) into Penn Valley.
Take a right onto Hagy's Ford Road. Go 1/3 mile, take left onto Tower Lane. The school will
be 1/4 mile ahead on right. Park along Tower Lane and walk to athletic fields.
BRYN MAWR POLO FIELD: Old Railroad Avenue and County Line Roads in Bryn Mawr, just
south of Lancaster Avenue.
From Philadelphia, go west on Lancaster Avenue (Route 30) into Bryn Mawr. Take a left
onto Old Lancaster Road (see Eckart Drugs on right, just after an Acme on the right).
After 1/4 mile, the road will bend to the right. Take first left after bend onto County
Line Road. Go 1/8 mile to second driveway on left. Turn into driveway, and
proceed to the parking lot straight ahead.
